Talon Simulations Awarded Subcontract for Air Force MOTAR Demonstration

August 2021 – In October 2020, Dynepic, Inc. was selected over 201 other companies to win the US Air Force's AFWERX Accelerating Pilots to Combat-Ready Aviators Challenge.  Under this challenge, their MOTAR platform's immersive training ecosystem is set to expand to further activate 15 industry leading XR companies in order to demonstrate the rapid training of USAF pilots.  The secure platform, white-labeled as MOTAR to the USAF, brings together disparate learning resources and provides an XR-optimized training creation, distribution, and management system for Air Education and Training Command (AETC) instructors.

Talon Simulations is grateful to be chosen as one of the 15 industry leading XR companies to activate a demo training module onto MOTAR in order to showcase how our Talon Strike Vehicle Training Platform can help the Air Force train more effectively at a lower cost.

The Talon Strike is a high fidelity simulation system that provides a compact and easily reconfigurable environment. Using advanced commercial technologies, Talon Strike creates an immersive experience that supports a broad spectrum of applications including tactical aircraft (fixed and rotary-wing), submarines, special forces-like rigid-hull inflatable boats, high performance automobiles, law enforcement driving, and emergency response vehicles. This concept has been prototyped through funding from Epic Game’s MegaGrant program where a C-130J startup and take off scenario was developed with the A3 Full Motion Simulator and haptic hand tracking gloves from BeBop Sensors.  See demo video below:

“We appreciate the opportunity to collaborate with Dynepic on this rewarding opportunity and to showcase how our team has learned to enhance XR training scenarios with hardware peripherals such as motion platforms and haptic gloves,” states Brandon Naids, Talon’s CEO and Co-Founder. “Our team looks forward to activating our C-130J pilot demo on MOTAR and demonstrating to the Air Force how the Talon Strike platform can be implemented for many advanced training scenarios where large and expensive simulators are inaccessible.”
